    Not enough vacuum at idle?!?!

My tuner can?t get my car to idle below 1040rpm?
2015 SRT JGC. (Recent build causing issues) Forged bottom end (10.1:1). Gen 2 whipple stage 2 (has whipples air/oil separator in place of oil cap) HHP stage 2 PD cam. Phase lock out, MDS delete, new push rods, lifters, springs, etc. 1000cc FIC injectors.

He claims the car will not idle unless there is a vacuum leak. If he pulls the IAT out (3/8? hole) the car runs great. Fuel trims, etc are on point. As soon as he puts the IAT back in the car dies.

He has target idle at @ 850rpm. I suggested increasing idle to see if it would run. Increased to 1040rpm and it runs.

What is he missing??? Outside of drilling a damn hole in the throttle plate what else is there? Is the cam that aggressive it has to idle that high? A stage 2 PD supercharger cam isn?t that aggressive in my opinion?.

Need a tune file and data log. No way to know what's been done, what hasn't been done, what's right or wrong.

Otherwise, this is what we're working with.

There's at least a dozen things that contribute to your idle. It could be way too rich at idle. The idle airflow settings could be incorrect. Could be a variety of things or even multiple things causing it. Without looking at a data log and tune file it's just guessing.
