    80e doing weird stuff

Swapped in a 6.0 4l80e combo in my 97 k3500. Truck runs fine, but for some reason in the scanner, not on the dash, When in park it reads d4 and sometimes in drive it will flash park. The dash goes through all gears correctly and goes in to all gears correctly. There's no rhyme or reason I can think of why it would do this.

Driving down the road it shifts through all gears tc locks up, in hp scanner I can command all gears force the tc to lock up.

Anyone have any ideas on what could possibly be the problem ?

yes, you didnt follow the rules when you signed up, and now have made a post without a tune and a scan so, no, nobody has any idea what the problem is until you upload those 2 things.

I was asking to see if anyone had ran acrossed this issue before, I didn't post, and say hey look at my tune I didn't upload and fix it for me, nor did I ask for help with tuning. I simply asked if anyone had ever had this happen to them before.

I completely understand the rules and read them when I signed up.

I will post the tune and log when I get home.

Sounds to me like you need to properly adjust your shift cable. Tune wont fix that.

It only reads wrong on hp scanner. On the dash it goes through all the gears, even reading on bluetooth shows it shift correctly and in the correct gear.

I will post a log up for some reason in scanner it will always read d-4 or occasionally flash p.

Did you have the gear selector switch off or loose on the trans? The gear selector switch is what the ECM will be looking at for position. When it's not reading correct in the scanner, I would start with inspecting the selector switch and components.

One of the reasons to post a tune file in situations like this is so we know what we're dealing with. "6.0 4L80e combo" covers a lot of year/make/models.

Might want to post this over in the trans section as well. Be sure to include Y/M/M and a tune file would be helpful. And a data log would be just as if not more helpful. Some of the pids in the HPT scanner are erroneous. If it functions as normal and it's not causing any problems I'd be inclined to ignore it.
