2012 5.3 TCC Apply Ramp, factory glitch?

I've been looking at the various TCC apply ramp tables. Seems like cars have the apply ramp more aggressive on the acceleration side, whereas my truck table has a bump on the negative slip area..
Here is a picture of the stock table, and one I 'cleaned up'. Please let me know if you think the spike in the original map was intended.
I can't imagine what it would be for other than compensating for some pressure spike or bleed down etc..

I am guessing that bump is for downshifts to retain lockup in low torque ranges?

Trying to make sense of it if you have some insights!
