I am running into a issue i haven't in the past i cant get figured out, i am leaning towards it being a mechanical or grounding issue. Possibly dirty injectors. But figured i would check here to explore the possibilities that could be caused by something in the tuning side of things. The problem seems to be worse as the coolant temps get above 160. When the truck is cold it behaves like i feel it should. When its warm and at operating temps, it seems to hesitate and sputter when trying to make a pull. Also seems to be a touch leaner compared to when its coolant temp is lower, around 150-165 or so. What are some possibilities of what could cause this or what would be something to look into further and change? The differences in engine temps are the only times ive noticed they repeat. Colder temps = runs good VS warmer temps = runs not as good and slightly lean. Something i noticed in the hot data log was the injector pulsewidth going up and down while the rpm was rinsing and pedal was wide open throttle. Shouldnt the injector pulsewidth only be rising as rpm is rising while being held wide open throttle? The stock ecu guys have it rough compared to the aftermarket ecu guys being much simpler. Im trying to learn though!
Possibilities (maybe): Temperature of fuel getting too hot? Need more grounds or more direct to battery ground connections? Dirty injectors? Incorrect injector data perhaps? Injector voltage offset table incorrect? Ill be addressing and/or checking these things while awaiting your guys responses.
I would appreciate the help greatly! Thanks
Adam
