Blade MAF sensor in L92 with E38 ECM

    Hi all!

I just test drove my L92 with a blade sensor MAF and it runs like a pile of sh*t and backfires in the intake and finally stops. When I remove the MAF connector, it runs ?fine? (as good as it gets without MAF).
Any ideas and trix how this thing should be tuned?

    Best regards
    Mike

Id change settings to MAF only in tune settings and try to collect some idle data using STFT. Get the idle and light throttle freq corrected and then once that is done and it idles better then try puting it in gear and progressing along the RPM band for more data. Or just go SD tune and ditch the MAF completely

If you change a MAF type your going to have to re calibrate. Some starting points are far from where it needs to be. If the VVE is reasonably tuned you can backout a new MAF table just to have something to start with. Fail the MAF and plot VE airflow over a MAF table.
