E38 ecm with t42 tcm tow/haul operation

I?m building a crawler with a 4:1 transfer case. The VSS is in the tail of the t-case.

I?m wanting to use the tow haul when I go to low range to fix some shifting issues, but having a some difficulties with getting it hooked up.

Can I do this without using a bcm utilizing the e38/t42?

Possible to use a momentary switch and bypass bcm?

I haven't found any platforms that use a hardwired tow/haul switch. If you find one let me know.
