Received the Dakota Digital BIM-01-2 module today. I plugged it in, and it did not power up.
Figured out power, it is on the plug that passes data to the gauges.
It has 4 wires that go to the ALDL port. I rung them out and they are as follows....
Pin 2 SAE J1850 Bus+
Pin 10 SAE J1850 Bus-
Pin 6 ISO16765-4 (CAN Bus High)
Pin 14 ISO15765-4 (CAN Bus Low)
I have suspicion the harness from Dakota Digital is pinned incorrectly?
It is pinned correctly, see my comment above
The BIM Module is wired to power off Pins 2 and 10. My ALDL connector does not have Pins 2 or 10 wired. Neither does the ALDL port in my 2000 LM7 Silverado? once again I was wrong in my assumption
Anyone know the voltage or any other information on pins 2 and 10?
no longer need
I was unable to power up the module in my 2014 Sierra or the wife's 2016 Terrain either?
Its now powered up, the bad news it does not poll for data

So now I am on a quest for a device I can add to the CAN Bus that will initiate communications.
Anyone?
