    scanner says unsupported

    hey,
i am working on a 2006 impala 3.5l and i was just wondering why when i look at the scanner, that when i want to look and adjust the timing or even turn the MIL on and off, and all the boxes are greyed out...

updated to 2.14 and wont let me.. any ideas?

if your talking about the bidirectional controls...if they are grayed out they ARE unsupported at this time...also not everything is going to be supported on every car at any time.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

oh ok.. thanks.. i wasn't sure if it was a problem with my mpvi needing updated or something..
i just asked because the 2.14 update list had the cars on it that i was trying to look at.. also it says it supports the 3.5 and 3.9l 06 model impala's from the 2.12 update, and even that car said it was not supported..

    ok thanks!

i guess if there is anything else that i can do to try and get it to work...
when i updated i had to redownload the info from my car, (not the impala) and i never tried to use the scanner on the impala after that..
    thanks again!

certain ones do certain ones don't...are you saying that ALL of your bi-directional controls dont work or just some?
