    Another NOOB Question

Ok, I just received my HP Tuners. I have an 06 Cobalt SS/SC. So last night I was all excited and I went out to my car and plugged it in. I wanted it to "Read VCM" when it got to the step of "Preparing VCM" it failed and would go no further. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help!!

I hooked it up, and registered the car, and that worked correctly. Then I clicked on the Read VCM button. I started the process and it went through steps 1-3 fine. Then when it got to step 4. Preparing VCM it said "failed" and would go no further.

eh...hmm...check the fuse in your fusebox for the cigarette lighter. Also make sure the ign. is in the accessory position right before start.(but not started)

I hope that helped some. Did you try rebooting the computer?

Ok, so there is my first problem, I was under the assumption (I know ass u me) that the car was supposed to be running when I did this. I will try that tonight, as well as checking the fuses. Thanks guys!

the help files are a good starting point
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

A wise man once said "google it"
