    Licensing Question

I have the "GM V8 Gen III Trucks" on my cable. At the time I purchased this, there was no 07 Silverado or 07 Hummer which still fall under the "GM V8 Gen III Trucks" bundle. Do I have to buy credits for the 07 Silverado/Hummer or is it already available in the latest 2.1.12 version?

yes I believe you get those added free of charge since you purchased the gen 3 truck unlimited.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

just a fwiw i have the v6 unlimited and when they added the 07 malibu & G6 I got them free...this is why im saying im pretty sure its the same for the other unlimited packages. But yes you'd probably need to update to a newer version if your working with a version that didnt yet have 07 support for those vehicles.

07 Silverado is Gen IV. Separate license.

    DANGIT!

    Now here's a good Q:

Why is the 07 Silverado not Gen IV but the Avalanche, Tahoe, Suburban, Escalade, Trailblazer, 9-7x, Ranier, Envoy, Ascender, Yukon, and Denali are?

Answer: There's the OLD body style and the NEW body style... This is going to be fun...

I have USB. Let me just clarify that there will are two(2) 07 Silverados. The first is the (already out) 07 classic body style with an ls1 based 5.3/4.8/6.0 then in early-mid 07 the NBS 07 Silverado will be coming with GEN IV engine. I was asking about the classic body with the ls1 based 4.8/5.3/6.0.
