T42 OS 24243356 was used in 2009 Truck/SUV/Van - with a 4L65/70 (17 pin) or a 4L80.

Thanks, I think that is the issue I?m having with this damn tcc. I have a 09 base file with that os I need to see if I can seg swap to an earlier os if that?s possible. Any ideas on an os I can use Jon s?

If you are using a 2009 ECM OS, you MAY be able to use a 2008 TCM OS (compatible with your 15 pin 4L65/70).

The best course of action would be to use matching 2008 OS in both the ECM and TCM.

I?ve tried a couple different 08 tcm os to seg swap. but didnt seem compatible or is it I have license those also for use?

I initially flash the ECM and TCM with Tech 2 / MDI, then read the modules with tuning software, to make necessary changes.

You are not swapping the segments within the overall TCM calibration, you are changing the entire TCM calibration.

Not sure how you would do this using only HPT.

i downloaded a 08 Silverado 2wd 4l65e file from repository and i tried to seg swap it and it wouldn't work. hpt didn't allow it to work that's i was wondering if the donor file has to be licensed or its just not compatible with my existing file. i have currently have ecm os 12630501 tcm os 24243356.
