    MTI Stealth II and Idle

I am working on an 03 Escalade w/STS and the Stealth II cam (224/220 116LCA). The STIT's always seem to be around 0 and the truck idles fine in open loop. When it goes into closed loop the O2's seem to react with the richer exhaust and pull the AFR slowly to almost 18 to one. That is when the surging and stalling starts. Mainly when the throttle is stabbed kind of quickly. When the afr is 16 or below there are no problems. What do I do to stop the closed loop fuel adjustment?

you mean to put it in full time open loop? set the closed loop enable temp to 284*F, if thats what you are talking about

No, I would like it to idle in Closed loop as well as it does in Open loop. It just gradually leans itself out in open loop causing surging and stalling problems. Any idea's?

I have the tune but I'm not sure how to log IAC counts if you need them? I have a log but only at operating temp. I will log a complete warm up tomorrow.

Here is the idle log but the IAC counts are stuck at 310 even when driven.

Well, I figured this one out. First the car doesn't have that IAC sensor that is stuck at 310. Second, somehow the Idle spark tables were set at 40,35,30 respectively in the first three columbs. The idle spark was too high and bouncing around too much causing the surging and stalling. I used the scanner to comand a flat 15 degrees and it idled beutifully after a slight tweak to the idle airflow table. The idle spark was just too high and had too great of a spark range near the idle rpm's.

Thanks anyway for taking a look.

Can't look at the file here (I'm on vacation) but is the car a Vette with DBW throttle?

If so, IAC is frozen at 310 since they don't have an IAC.
