    Optimizing 5.3 VVT Tune

    Hey Guys,

I am starting this new thread because I now feel that I have a good handle on this setup and am now making little improvements.
So far I have adjusted the VVT tables based on some recommendations on here, I have it starting the retard in the 2800-6200 and Interpolated it from 1-12 degrees, it made a huge difference in low end torque. I still have a torque dip in the low rpm area 16-2200 that I am trying to make up, I get some spark knock under load there so the timing table looks kind of funny because I have been taking out a degree or two at a time and what it seems to tolerate depends on the load mostly.

Ill attach two logs for you guys to analyze, they are big, my drive home is near an hour long.

Thanks again for looking, I hope it helps some of the other guys swapping in the gen IV motors into the older trucks.
