E38/T42 questions!!!

I'm in a similar boat except i have a 2010+ e38 running a van os and van t42 os with a 13 pin 60e. something isn't happy.

im going to try and get an 07 t42 os and see what happens

Hey. So the 2010+ van t42 os you are running is for a 2009 and up 4L60E. They went to a 17 pin connector on the trans starting in 2009-up. You will need a 2007 or 2008 tcm os and then disable the speed sensor in the cal because your trans is a 13 pin and not a 15 pin that came in those two model years. I ended up having to find a 2009-up 4L60E trans to run behind my 2012 5.3L. Running 2012 Express van os system on both e38 and t42.

They will work together. you will have to download them together. I'm running an E38 with a T42 TCM. The combo I'm running is a L96 6.0L which is a 2013, transmission is a 2000 4L80E beefed up. I'm putting 400 hp to the ground. You just need to do some research on the combo your wanting to do.
