Thread: no start after flash

  1. #41
For shits and giggles, and needed to update tunes for e-98, I just went to try this on my personal car 05 gt and customers 06 gt. I use both softwares because hpt hasn't added a couple things I need for the Spanish oak yet.

Anyways both cars fired right up, but the only thing you could log was long term trim bank 2 with 3.0 and 2.25
sct logging didn't work either, no communication with device.

flashed back with a version of 2.25 and everything good again.

So the version of 2.25 is one recently downloaded after the 3.0 update? If this is the case I will just go back to using 2.25 until this is fully resolved.

if it was one of the last 2.25 releases then it does it just like 3.0
the last known good 2.25, that didn't fudge up was back in september

What specifically did SCT do to the tunes to cause the issue?

Is this the issue where SCT were corrupting the OSID on purpose, then HPT would read the tune successfully and write it back, on a further write it would say "unlicensed vehicle" ? Or is this a different issue?

You would read the computer and it would say the read was good and when you write it back it would also say successful but would give you a no start condition and would have to be reflashed.
