Im trying to tune a 2011 Ram 1500 5.7L and the customer wants the "check gas cap message" off on the cluster. Is there anyway to tune this out?
Thanks

I suggest turning P0457 DTC off

I did that and it's still on
Very possible it's a BCM function if it comes up in the cluster.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
Yes but the bcm is getting its info from somewhere and I figured with the evap code gone the message should be gone too.
I believe BCM has a series of live monitoring that do not trip any codes and are purely used as a pre-cursor to the DTC final tests. Evap leak check only runs after a decently long interval of a full drive cycle, 24 hours sitting, then full drive cycle at a given ECT and mph range. BCM will on its own schedule check vacuum in the evap system. Not sure we have any control over that process in HP Tuners. You can completely disable the evap system if you want in the general settings, that may work.
