2012 Silverado displacement on demand 6spd auto 5.3

What is the differance between disable by gear and disable by prndl? These trucks have D and M. in the m mode you can toggle between the gears like a paddle shifter of sorts, and in D it is fully automatic. What i want to do is have the option to disable DOD if i dont like how it is acting. Would disabling D6 in the gearshift position mode,(which is actually dispayed as M6 in the truck display) accomplish this? Also, any other setting tips is appreciated. it has 3.08 gears and i think that is such a load it doesnt like dod unless it is a non highway speed or going down a hill. Thanks!

I can't recall trying it on my truck but I know on the dodge ram 1500's if you put the selector into M6, it will disable the DoD feature.

For me I just disabled it by gear, so instead of it being active in 3,4,5 and 6, I just set it for 5 and 6. But the other bummer is that it's in 6th gear by 40-45mph. I also have 3.42's so it's not as bad when just driving around.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

90% sure you are right and can disable DoD with the shifter in M. I will tell you there is little to be gained with 3.08, and all of your oil consumption is caused by the active fuel system. It's not a great system. I would recommend getting aggressive with DEFCO, it's a much better avenue to pursue.

dfco.JPG This is what I have to work with. I'm guessing I need to tweak the CylAir Enable and disable for the dfco. I lowered the rpms and vehicle speeds a little. Open to suggestions.

I copied the VVT from a bone stock 2014 6.2 and have to say I was quite impressed with the butt-dyno and drive ability. That's always fun. I was shooting for an MPG improvement, but I barely can say that worked. I have an 09 6.2 with a concoction tune.Bretts 09 Sierra - 1 - With DFCO 2.1.hpt
