    How to disable O2 sensor?

    Hi,
    How to disable P0420, P0430 and P0158?
    2008 jeep.

    DTC code is in the far left column, issue is we only have a check box for the MIL and not choices for when or if to report an issue. Unchecking the SES column should eliminate the light but the codes will still be thrown. Unchecking the MIL box should completely eliminate the code from being reported, but I am unsure if the car will ever go into ready mode for emissions testing with the MIL unchecked.

    Within the fault array tables are many selections that can be enabled and or disabled within the Factory Code, not just the DTC code for example here are a few --- Freeze Frame Prior/Task mgr Fault/Fault enabled/continuous/2 trip fault/3 trips to clear mil/mil enable/etc lamp enable/etc lamp pulse/Limpin Clear next key/DCA Trans FLT/TM Feature Enabled/Limpin on 1 malf/Emis rel fault/ etc...Maybe HPTuners could add a few more options --- Hope this helps.

    Thanks Dave, that would be HUGE if we had some of those options, right now the simple check boxes aren't even clear how they work, if at all.

    Yes, please... For the love of all that is good and holy, the ability to disable a limp mode condition associated with a specific code would be amazing!

    One example, the Neon SRT-4, Code P2074-MANIFOLD PRESSURE/THROTTLE POSITION CORRELATION - HIGH FLOW/VACUUM LEAK, which happens to be EXTREMELY sensitive on the 2005 year OS. It is practically guaranteed to be tripped almost any time a stiffer wastegate actuator is used on the stock turbo (causing more than normal boost at part throttle).

    Disabling the SES and MIL gets rid of the pesky CEL, but drive long enough in sustained part throttle boost, and the PCM enters limp mode/open loop. It's horrible!

    The ability to have more control over things like this is crucial in some instances, especially in setups that aren't required to go through emissions (think swaps into pre-OBD II vehicles), that still want to maintain good driveability despite OBD freaking out (and throwing the vehicle into open loop or limp mode) over something silly that is caused by aftermarket parts or the lack of unnecessary sensors for the given platform/application.

    Ugh - hated this so so much. Luckily I had a 2004 which was a little less sensitive. Have you done the TIP mod, where you essentially create a small boost leak just before the sensor? Worked pretty well for a few that I tuned. Not 100% failsafe but worked 95% of the time.

    No, I found another work around for that particular little issue that involved the use of a modified 2005 OS that had that code/limp mode either desensitized or entirely turned off. Not sure which, but it works.

    I think the Mopar stage 1 code has it desensitized.

    It does, but Mopar S1 also has all the emissions monitors disabled with no way to activate them via HP Tuners. Unfortunately a big deal breaker for Emissions testing in my area.

    AKA the most moronic non-"mod" ever conceived, well maybe it's tied with deleting the solenoids.

    The real "fix" for a P2074 is a proper boost control(PCM) and tuning.

    Is there a fix for dodge vehichles throwing a P0420 & 0430 still after unchecking both boxes?
