WOT Tip-In issue 2014 Camaro SS Supercharged
I have the following:
I have a 2014 camaro ss 6l80e
SLP supercharger w/10lbs of boost
heads/cam*
Full exhaust including long tubes
all supporting mods ex. Cold air intake, fuel system...
When I am in 2nd gear at 50mph, and go full throttle I experience a cough or backfire thru the intake. If I progressively roll in the throttle then it doesn't cough. The data log shows a lean condition on the AFR, which I tried to tune the maf at lower frequencies, 4000-7000, to correct the lean issue. It seemed to help, dropped it from 1.2 lambda to 1.0 on tip in.
I tried changing my throttle open area from 100 to 3, and that seemed to help also. But it is still present at times. I really notice it now on downshifts. If I downshift from 6 gear to 2 at 50mph, at steady throttke posioton around 30%, the 3 to 2 gear shift has the cough condition. But if I am in 6 gear at 50mph and just stab it wot there is no sputter.

You should move this to the Gen 4 forum to get more responses. Gen 5 refers to the new LTX style engine, not the vehicle platform.
