Got P1515 after installed NW 102 throttle

Hey, I have a strange problem after installing the NW 102 throttle body.
At the track I allways get the P1515 code and Reduced engine power at the same point, at the end of the long straight after full throttle and shifting down.
I mean when Im letting go of the gaspedal the code sets.

The car is tuned near to perfect and got 1004rwhp/1191rwnm.
One tip I got was the the engine/PCM cant handle all the intake air and max out the tables?

The car is a Corvette 1998 with F2 blower.

Or can it be to mutch pressure at the "throttle blade" so it gets strange values?

    Any tips?

    Thanks!

    Hello.

I have nowhere near the HP as you but was having similar problems and a couple more codes. P1515/1514 and one other

Here's how I dealt with them...

    Eng Diag>TPS Sensor>Calc Airflow,P1514 - mutltiplied all by 1.5

    P1515 is ETC Position code
But this solved all the air related codes for me.
    Do a search, also.

And make sure you have the corrct ETC Area Scalar value.

    Good luck.

If these are setting codes when the throttle is closing, it likely isn't an airflow (tuning) issue. Could be sucking the blade shut. On the later PCMs you guys may need to set your P2101 positive and negative % higher. On the 98, I would start by setting your P1514 table to 4.1, but if it's setting when the blade shuts, this may not fix it.

    Any updates for this?

I'm also facing the problem with P1515 and P1516. I have maxed P1514 table to 4.1 grams long time ago.

This car has F2&434 and 2001 PCM. It goes to REP during the WOT run, around 5700 rpm's or so. It has also NW 102mm TB.

I played with Electronic Throttle Max Rotation tables and even with 90% as a max value (and verified in logs), still P1515 and/or P1516. I also lowered Desired Throttle Area from 100% to 96%, but no luck with these changes either.

Well, found it. At WOT in frame 211 the TPS shows 89% (I have reduced max TPS) and ETC position shows 57%.

What an earth is closing the blade at that time...?

    Yeah. How about this one.

This screen shot is BEFORE the engine gets into a limp mode. Isn't it interesting that the blade is actually too much open, i.e. 52% when the pedal is requesting 40%. No wonder why the engine then goes into the limp mode... You can actually compare the pedal position with blade position in the lower right part of the the screenshot:

So far the only way I know is to use cable TB.

It would be nice if some of the more experienced folks would say it's not the hardware issue, it's the tune. I personally doubt, but I only tune handful of cars each year.

i think i ll begin to hate my car...!!

so it is impossible to tune a C5 corvette ...?? that what i have to understand..??

i think i resolved the problem in this moment after a long focusing ( years of tuning ) .. it is a hardware issue..
for those who wants to know more about this you can email me at [email protected]
i have to chage my power steering pulley because it is broken since i went WOT 3 consécutives times with no error message ..
so i had to try it again but hope that is a thing of past for me..

get rid of that throttle go back to the gm ls2 90mm . this will fix your problem.

i had all the issues you all described on my 900 hp c5. nothing i did got rid of it went to a stock 90mm gm ls2.. drives better, idles better, and lol makes more power and torque.

i'm na and spray car(only had the rep mode while on the bottle) but i hear the nw is not to be used on a boosted car either.

on the older gen 3 cars i think the nw and our tac module and pedal are incompatible

i hear they work fine on gen 4 cars that originally had a ls3/ls7 throttle

I am having same problem when I go WOT with my 90mm My 2000 vette goes into reduced power mode. Changed all I can think of could it be as simple As the ECT scaler needing adjusted. wide band does not show lean condition but car still goes int reduced power mode. can shut car off and restart and will accelerate at 3/4 throttle just fine as soon as I punch it it goes right to reduced power mode. new to tuning so any advice will help.
    thanks
