Paging Russ K or someone similiar 4t65hd swap- p0730 code
I thought I had my calculation correct, but I seem to be getting a p0730 with the eventual hard shift. Here's a copy of my original tunes. I'm going to switch the p0730 to "no error reported" in attempt to keep the trans from grenading itself.
This is a 2001 Lesabre which has a 4t65eHD swapped in from a 98 Regal GS. The trans shifted great in the Regal. The car also underwent a genv swap, northstar tb,lq9 maf, ported l32 heads, headers, 3" exhaust, custom CAI with the hd trans, so it got a lot of changes at once.
Your interchange program is correct, most likely due to my Lesabre having an internal mode switch and the Regal had an external. I swapped it over though.
The Lesabre had a 2.86 final and the new trans is 3.29 which puts my calculation to a 3.78465= 3.78. Should I try 3.79? Maybe this new trans really isn't a 3.29 FD.... :/
That did it! Car shifts great and no code! I don't know what the 3800 group would do without you Russ! I see the sprocket ratio messed up my calculation!
Because the SC3800's had a 2.93 final drive ratio (3.29/1.121=2.93). But changing the sprocket ratio in the editor has caused a lot of P0730 DTC's plus hard shifts. In this case he changed the sprocket ratio to 1.121 from the stock 1.00 in the Lesabre tune.
Thanks there Mr K, I was messing with calcs and could not for the life of me figure out what you had done to come up with that. I guess this would apply to the GP's as well. Thanks for the tid-bit man... as always, you rock bro!
I have a slight update to this gear ratio issue. I finally got to see the top of 2nd gear in the car and it seemed to hit that weird limiter as if the gear ratio was off. 1-2 shifts great wot. 2-3rd is where it happens. There is no gear ratio code, but maybe its not off enough to set it?
