Brand new transmission on my 2010 camaro SS - TCM problems.

    Need some help guys

I just install a new tranny from the dealer on my 2010 camaro and now its throwing a few DTC's.
I read entire and it gave me a different TCM OS ID since the tranny is new from the dealer, So its throwing these codes. P0700, U0101, P0602, I can drive it but it wont downshift right.

What i need to do to make it work? I could't upload the old file because it had a new TCM OS, So i upload the new file that gave me the new TCM OS and it upload it right but I'm still getting the same codes.

Old TCM OS ID - 24256025
New TCM OS ID - 24254909

    Heres are the codes

if the dealer installed it, they should fix your issue. then pull the file and maybe the dealer will change the TCM OS

The transmission control module is inside the transmission on those. Replacing the transmission means replacing the module. The module needs to be programed when installed, hence the P0602. I'm not sure if HPT can fix it with a write entire or if you would have to have it programmed at the dealer, then use HPT. Suspect may have to go to dealer.

My friend who is a GM mechanic told me the TCM in my G8 is behind the passenger kick panel, may be the same in the Camaro.

lol, the tcm is located INSIDE the transmission, not in a kick panel.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

The old OS was used in 2010 Camaros. The new OS was used in 2010 Trucks. There is your problem.

Attached is a photo of the TCM - it is very much inside the transmission pan. The trans in the photo is upside down on an engine stand, and the TCM is being removed.

Shouldn't. ECM will be fine. TCM should be fine too.

Hey, I was going off the word of another, I've only pulled the trans to put in the converter. Never had it apart.

Funny though, even found a youtube video showing it being installed in a transmission. He must have thought ECM I guess.

The ECM is under the fuse box on the passenger side.
