Unhappy 06 gto reduced power - works if I cycle the ignition switch

6.2L, twin 80mm garrett turbos,96lb injectors. The car starts and runs great, idle is good. I set P0068 code tests to 8000 rpm, no SES and no error reported. It goes into reduced power mode the first time I start the engine and try to accel with more than 40 percent throttle. It sets no obd2 codes. Then if I turn ignition switch off, and immediately restart the engine it works fine.

I will try and attach the HPT and HPT file tomorrow.

    Suggestions?

Turn the code back on. Setting it to no error reported doesn't keep it from going into REP, all it does it keep it from flagging the code. At least with it on you'll know if that's the code it's setting.

Post the tune and data log.

So I figured it out after the car finished the car show tour.

I was running a automatic calibration and shutting off all the trans codes because the 4L80e was controlled by an aftermarket standalone controller. Under boost it went into reduced power mode because of the added airflow and not seeing the trans controller. Discovered this because I logged the TQ mgt pid and saw it said brake when I applied the brakes and after in limp mode and coming to a stop and Re-applying the brake. Then when I hit the gas pedal to get more than 40 percent it would not go above than 40 percent and TQ mgt said TRANS. Woo hoo!

Swapped in a manual trans file and write entire, copied in all my engine settings and problem went away!

Sorry for the wordiness but that's how I figured it out.
