tune lock

hi hpt i just would like to know if there is a place to lock the tune for the access or can i remove a lock to a tune for the access with hptuner
if yes , i would like to know how

ok i see an information in the hptune help files in the edit calibration detail
so i could not have access to a tune that has been locked
only the software that has locked it has access..

if i m wrong please correct me ...

Yes you got it right.
You can lock and unlock your own tunes. If you flash a locked tune to a PCM/ECM it can't be read/written by any other software, even by the dealer. You need to unlock it first. Only the HPT interface which locked a PCM can unlock it.
If you get a ECM locked by someone else, you won't be able to read/write the PCM. If you download a tune file and it's locked you won't be able to open it in the editor.

The tunerlock is a useful feature but you need to be careful using it.
