    How do I get a 3bar 4L80E segment swap for a 1998 body?

What do I need to do to get a segment swap for a 3bar SD with 4l80e controls on a 1998 fbody? I have the current file to e-mail but not sure what else I need if anything.

    Also, what is the cost?

    Thanks in advance.

98's are single segment binary, no trans segment to swap.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Ok.. He currently has the 80 controlled via a relay.

What about 3 bar? Do I just send the file to support@hptuners?
    What is the cost?
Is there an aprox turn around time?

He is looking to go to the track this weekend and I'd like to try and get it on the dyno before he goes.

So my buddy is going to rewire the harness from 98 to 99-02 fbody.

Am I able to over right that PCM with a 99-02 OS?

I currently have a 1bar SD with 80e controls that I can send in for a 3bar update. Please advise goes to [email protected]

Also what is the cost and expected turn around?
If sent in tonight, any chance it would be back by Friday so we can still put it on the dyno before going to the track?

The 1997-98 Corvette, and 1998 Camaro used a different PCM than the later 1999-2002 models did. A 1998 PCM is not compatible with a 1999-2002 calibration. You need a new (different) PCM.

You may want to research this a little before you begin ... lots of people have upgraded these, so there are threads on the internet to help you.

There are 2 LS1 512kb PCMs, the 97-98 and 99-02s. They are NOT interchangeable and require a few pins to be moved to use one or the other.

I would highly recommend using an 02 OS when your buddy does his PCM swap, it has at least a few tweaks over the earlier 00-01 OSs.
