    Unable to open file?

I downloaded a tune form the repository and when I go to open it says... "Unable to open file. Index was outside the bounds of array." What does that mean?

Email support for a copy of the newest beta, there are many files(virtually any 2009+ file) that need to be saved with 2.23.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I'm getting this error now when trying to open config files that I created, and I haven't changed sw versions since I created those files. I can't get access to all my custom PIDs I set up. Any suggestions as to how I can get past this error? I've tried rebooting, but nothing else at this point.

This thread is about opening files in the editor, not scanner.

In any event what is the error you are seeing, a screenshot would be best. Also don't forget to post the file in question that you are having issues opening.

so it is. Thanks for addressing anyways.

    I can't take a screenshot, but here's the flow:

I try to open a config file from the "Open" icon in scanner. I pick a file from the open dialog box, and instead of the file opening up, I get a dialog box titled "Open Config" that says "unable to open file. Index was outside of the bounds of the array." with a single "OK" button to close the box. After clicking OK, I get another dialog box titled "Unsaved Changes" that says The config file Untitled has changed. Do you want to save the changes?" with Yes, No, and Cancel buttons below. choosing Yes, brings up a Save As box (to save what I don't know). No and Cancel do the same thing and you are back to where you started. I can't get any of my config files to open now.

Also, I tried several times attaching different cfg files to this post, but I'm getting "the upload has failed" errors. Did my cfg files get corrupted?

Dunno, I'm able to upload files without issue, including config files.

I just found this cfg file that I can upload, I can also open in the scanner. many of my other cfg files that I can't open in scanner, I also cant upload here. Could I email one to you and see if you get the same error and try to debug that way?

I just found out what the issue is - zero byte file size. Some of my cfg files have no data. That's why I couldn't upload them to this forum and why I couldn't attach them in an email. Still don't know how they got that way, and it appears I've lost all my custom PIDs. Ever hear of this before? I can redo them once, but I don't want this to be a recurring thing.

First I've heard of it. Custom pids are stored in your VCM Scanner.cfg file, not in individual configs.

Im getting the same "Unable to open file. Index was outside the bounds of array." What is the email address for support? I will most likely need the newest beta.
