    8 throttle body manifold tuning

hi, my mate is fitting a 8 throttle body manifold to his ls1, i can see where the map and tps sensors go, but not the iac motor, iam assuming it doesnt get fitted, if left out of tne system how do i disable the iac and what tables do i adjust to get it to idle and run ok to drive it to the tuning shop for a proper tune, just need to do a basic setup to beable to drive it to the shop?

Couldnt you make up some way to temporarily tie it into one of the two vacuum ports on the back of the manifold? Im assuming ther manifold is drilled through the center to created a shared vacuum source, so that should work for the IAC.

Here, check this out, might give you an idea on the IAC. G/L

if they are individual runners and do not share a common plenumn,How would you put an IAC on it at all? you would only add or subtract air to one cylinder.

It has a common plenum, and you could install an IAC. It just doesn't look in the pictures like it has a place already machined for one. Doesn't mean you can't put one in it.

Even in the ones without a common plenum, you can pipe in a common plenum using vacuum lines, and a piece of tubing. I've seen it done with the GenVee (?) ones.

    8 throttle body manifold tuning

I know on like aftermarket FMS they use the older stlye IAC. Has a pipe fitting coming out of manifold, mount iac with a k&N type filter off of it. Just allows air in. I have installed one on a twin turbo car for a accell FMS. Can hide it pretty simple

That's the exact one I had in mind. The same one they use on the DFI and many other standalones.
