Good call. Stock high or low table for your new low table? S2 be fine as well? Isn't it a 'better' GM table?

Here are a few pictures to help explain the timing charts;
Here is a log from a modded stage 2 car, with the stock (smoothed) table timing table still in it. Note the WOT path.
Here is a stock stage 2 timing map, with the control areas outlined;
To reiterate;
Chugging area - leave it stock.
Cruising area - optimize for good fuel economy.
Idle - Stock up to cold idle RPM + 400rpm, blend up to at least 2200rpm.
WOT - Set for maximum performance, without knocking (keep a safe buffer from the knock zone).
Mid-Throttle - Set for maximum performance, without knocking (keep a safe buffer from the knock zone). Blend edges into cruising area.
A comparison of a smoothed stage 2 chart and a stock stage 2 chart, with control areas roughly outlined;

Tyler
Thanks again! I'll mod my timing table and then try it out at lunch if I can.
So with your advice and pictures, here is a timing map I made with 19* total timing WOT. I think it should be OK. Car didn't knock with 18* previously, so I'm going to test this out, and go back to 18* or lower if I have to.

Nice, thanks for the help. I didn't notice this thread was still alive, ha.
Here's my H.O. table now. A little ballsier than most, but meh.
