so is that more accurate? I notice that when CP pressure is reading 25psi my mani pressure is reading 16psi...hmm

Thats weird your mani pressure reads that. Do you have the stage kit? If you dont have the stage kit, dont worry about CP pressure. The manifold sensor can read 255kpa.

no stage kit yet. The mani pressure reads kinda low though. My RPD boost is always about 3 or so psi higher than mani.

The coldpiping pressure thing is for when you have the stage kit so you can have a good estimate of how much boost your pushing when above 255kpa. What formula are you using for the mani pressure?

Monitoring Boost

More LNF histograms, a config file for monitoring boost and a custom PID.

The following custom PID is required for the attached histograms with 'Cst PID' in the title. The other histograms use the factory boost sensor PID.

This PID uses MAP sensor pressure as the engine pressure reference and subtracts atmospheric pressure.
Code:
Convert MAP to Boost Pressure -
Formula: (MAP Sensor - BARO) / 6.894757

Name: Boost
Abbrv: Bst
Sensor: none selected
Units: psi
Function: ([SENS.30.MET] - [PID.2340.MET]) / 6.894757
This PID uses the factory boost sensor as the engine pressure reference and subtracts atmospheric pressure.
Code:
Boost Pressure (psig) -
Formula: (Boost Sensor - BARO) / 6.894757

Name: Boost
Abbrv: Bst
Sensor: none selected
Units: psi
Function: ([PID.2336.MET] - [PID.2340.MET]) / 6.894757
NOTE: Do not open the .cfg or .hst files with anything but the scanner.

For version 2.22 and later, file locations are as follows:

The .cfg (configuration files) go in your:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USER NAME>\My Documents\HP Tuners\VCM Scanner\Configs

The .hst (histogram files) go in your:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USER NAME>\My Documents\HP Tuners\VCM Scanner\Histograms
This was pulled from the scanner config thread thats a sticky at the top of this section of the forum.

Finally getting somewhere today. I tried throwing some stock parts on for the hell of it, plus I still need to take it back to the dealer to fix 2nd gear anyway. And I loaded a very mild tune on the car. While adjusting the tune I noticed my 1 spark table was weird in the 5500+ cells. It looks like I highlighted a few cells instead of 1 to make a change and made a section of all 15* which was a mismatch for the other 3 tables. I made them all the same and the car pulled to 7k at 20psi. It had a slight hiccup but Im wondering if that will go away after a pull or 2. Time will tell there.

I found a Tbolt clamp that broke slightly on the chargepipe as well. It was still tight, I would have to take a pic to explain what happened to the clamp. Can't put the words together LOL! (rough morning)

me and my friend are having exactly that problem
we are both in a lsj turbo conversion
he drops 70hp around 6.4k-6.8k
they car used to sound weird but the tuner never knew the problem.

we change coil packs, spark plugs, re-gap plugs and that dint fix anything

Still fighting this crap. I tried another set of new plugs without gapping them at all thinking that may have cause an issue somehow, no change tho. I did notice when Im below 10% ETC Pedal the trims kinda sine wave and you can feel the car doing something weird. Im thinking maybe vac leak?

Im going to try gapping my plugs down to .028 and see if that helps at all, finally rule out ignition then too.

I loaded a tune now that's 23-24 psi in the low/mid range, then tapers off hard up top with a mess of timing. Car actually runs pretty damn good and is still fun

Damn B, that sucks. Have you pressure tested the system yet? What about the diaphragm? I'm just tossing shit out there in hopes that it could be something simple.
