I completed the Idle Air Config in both Park and in Gear. Now it hunts idle during warm starts. Any ideas how I can fix this? Cold starts are fine. I tried adding air to the startup airflow initial but it doesn't help.

Here's a snapshot of my throttle cracker. If I try to add where the zeros are, the car will pull when I am off the throttle like its in cruise control. How much should I add?

I have data in the 12 8 and 4 rpm range. mine falls low for a sec then resumes idle

Hunting means the motor response to air-step is
too slow for the loop.
You probably want to tune with adaptive idle spark
off. Adaptive spark is trying to hide things from you,
the things you're trying to fix.
And speaking of adaptive spark, some models have
really dumb stuff in there, like underspeed with a
zero in the way-under column, so it fights for a
while and then "takes a dive". Nice.
Anyway, best bet may be to turn off adaptive spark
and force IAC counts in the scanner, then play with
commanded AFR and spark at your target RPM, look
for what gives you the lowest idle MAP (highest
vacuum). Then push the RPM (by IAC) down some
more and repeat. See what this tells you about the
best idle spark setup and low-end VE table accuracy.
You don't want to stick with "best" spark though,
you need to give the adapt some upside authority.
So wherever "more doesn't help" is, back off some -
you want room to push at least 5 degrees more and
have a better MAP result, but not use it all up.
If you get fuel and spark so that it's happy, it won't
be so unstable. Then you can turn back on the adapt
and have it rock solid (having chased out any stupidity
there).
