please explain??? scanner or editor? the only auto scaling feature im aware of is the speedo auto scaling feature.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

scanner
if i put this into the scann it aout scales it 1 tenth instade of keepinh the vaulues i put in

it will make 14 = 3.1 and then it adds 15 as 3.2 and put 16 as 3.3
see what i mean? the output the scan see is not right beaecues it's rouding up/down and adding in the others

I assume your referring to the user defined inputs screen?

You're talking about a 100'th of a volt which in this case equates to .1 psi. Its not likely your voltage output will even be accurate to 100'th of a volt.Originally Posted by viper04af
Secondly, the numbers it adds are interpolated values so they are also accurate to the scale.

well the boost gauge is accurate to .1 psi and the hp tuners output is wrong it's reading high from what the gauge is readingOriginally Posted by Keith@HPTuners
i got the voltage vs PSI direct form the manufacturing engineer

Example 3.716 volt = 20.21PSI in HPT it should not read 20 until 3.73 volts (its reading about .5 psi to high) even at 0 psi the HPT tuners output is incorrect from the gauge reading and I am tapped into the wire the runs from the senor to the gauge, i have take the wire and the gauge display does not change i have used a multimeter to verify voltage on the wire to HPT all is well
and yes the gauge self correct for weather conditions every time you turn it on. its a $200 boost gauge lol

Log raw voltage instead of your boost pid.
The MPVI is not seeing the same voltage you checked with the multimeter, perhaps due to wiring or other issue. THat is likely your problem.
You can also tap your input into two of the MPVI inputs and can log your boost input and raw voltages side by side to see that its likely your wiring or a voltage offset.

Or you could do some simple math and use the linear formula instead:
Using .22,-14 and 4.77,30 your formula is:
AFR = 9.670329670329671 Volts — 16.12747252747252
We got this guy Not Sure, ...
the volt number I got above was from logging them side by side, and the curve is not liner, it close but its not, I tried that already
see log below
thanks for the help

It is linear, they are just giving you rounded numbers.
If you use the function I gave you here is your error in PSI mapped against the PSI they tell you the given volts should report:
-14, 0.00
-12, -0.03
-10, 0.04
-8, 0.00
-6, -0.03
-4, 0.04
-2, 0.01
0, -0.02
2, 0.04
4, 0.01
6, -0.02
8, 0.05
10, 0.02
12, -0.01
14, 0.05
16, 0.02
18, -0.01
20, 0.06
22, 0.03
24, 0.00
26, 0.06
28, 0.03
30, 0.00
This is simple math. Use that function I provided to calc all the PSI values at the given voltages. Then subtract that # from the PSI they told you should be reported.
Your greatest PSI error would be .06PSI with an average error of .01 PSI.
If thats not acurate enough, man I don't know what to tell ya lol.
