    Good AFR and KR?

I'm tuning a 99 silverado 5.3L and am getting KR @ WOT. Its not as soon as I hit WOT but a second or two later I get knock. I havent touched the timing tables they are stock. I did tune the VE, MAF table, & remove torque management. I have done some searching and I see where a lot of people are having troble with knock on the 99 OS. I also thought I should mention that the tranny may be slipping a little, it wont hardly spin the tires over. I let a transmission professional drive the truck and he reccomended bumping up the line pressure. I havent done anything yet, I went back and looked at some of the logs that I did while tuning the MAF and there was knock in the same areas. Also the timing is lower than the low octane table, even when there is no knock present.

Here's the current tune and a log it hit WOT twice on the log, I apprecate any help. Thanks.

That is a lot of spark knock for having such low timing. The 5.3 engines normally take between 21-24* total spark timing @ WOT.
Any chance that there is engine noise setting off the knock sensors?

Try multiplying the knock retard decay rate table by 4, and multiplying the knock attack > base retard table by .5.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I dont hear any engine noise, I'll try probing it with my stethiscope but I think if anything is setting off the knock sensors at all its the tranny or converter. Let you know what happens

    Thanks again!

Thanks Russ, also do you have any advice on how I can bump the line pressure up on the tranny? There are a lot of tables under the trans section and I dont have experience with tuning an auto, dont want to tear anything up.

Post your stock & latest tune, and I'll set up your shift pressures. A Corvette 2-4 servo will really firm up the WOT shifts,
as there is only so much that the tune can do.

The truck already has a corvette servo, sorry I didnt mention that sooner. I'd like to learn how to do it myself but I certianly dont mind if you do it. I'd just like to learn for future references.

How much firmer do you want the shifts to be?

Enough to be able to spin the tires over, right now it wont even do that.
