You would need a 2 bar map sensor installed in your vehicle to read above atmospheric pressure.Originally Posted by Turb0Z28
I scan my gtp just fine for boost but it already has a 2 bar sensor from the factory.

so in kpa what is boost and waht is vac? i just look at the scan and it hit 158.0 kpa how do i get it to say psi? i tryed once and it still reads the same #s as kpa
i think my settings are wrong i just changed it to psi and the car at idle is showing 4.5 psi and at WOT it reads 23 psi on a stock car.
this is all a old scan i am looking at
What you are seeing is absolute pressure. To get boost you need to subtract atmospheric pressure.Originally Posted by Turb0Z28
If you want to just see boost, you could try creating a custom pid, something like ([SENS.30.IMP]-[PID.2340.IMP]). Negative numbers are manifold pressures (in PSI) under ambient.

???? what does that mean?Originally Posted by TiredGXP
It means MAP Sensor in Imperial measurements [SENS.30.IMP] minus Barometric pressure from the BARO Sensor in Imperial Measurements [PID.2340.IMP]Originally Posted by Turb0Z28
Imperial = psi in this case.
When you create a custom PID you need to type in the sensor and pid descriptions in that format.
