Random general question
Does anyone have factory literature or links to,
stating NOT to operate a GM coil with the plug and or wire disconnected ?
My understanding has always been is it is a bad practice because the larger a gap , the higher the secondary voltage and it will find a path to ground , often a componant damaging one.
I was under the understanding grounding the secondary was ok.
I thought , but have no info that unplugging the primary would be fine on an E67.
I only bring this up as there ARE some Fords that can have ECU driver failures apparently if the primary side is disconnected.

Thanks
