    Flex fuel disable

Questions on flex sensors and tune.

P01 PCM with OS from Tahoe

Never did a flex sensor or flex OS before so bare with me.

When flex is disabled in the tune can you log or will it still show ethanol content while logging but the pcm ignores it?

Had swapped a flex OS , wired up the sensor pigtail but it wasnt plugged it. It defaulted at 37% or so.

I then disabled flex and put ethanol content default at 0. Still reads 37%, the default value even tho I put default to 0.

Then I finally installed the flex sensor with fuel running through it and yet again left the tune with the default at 0 and flex disabled for now. Still says 37%

Although I havent enabled flex in the tune yet (some other issues arose ), would it still do like the oxygen's sensors do where they will still show voltages even if they are disabled?

Or will it only start showing ethanol content when its enabled?

    Thank you.

You'll likely need to upgrade to the 2002 model Tahoe flex fuel OS. Which OS are you working with?

Yeah, because there's only one OS used on 2002 Tahoe. Kevin is a really nice guy and I don't want to put words in his mouth but I think what he was hinting at was: POST THE FILE.

He told me the file that I needed then asked what file I was using. I answered the question with the file I'm using but I can post the file as soon as I hit the laptop up.

I think I figured it out.

The 2 bar upgraded OS wanted me to add the alcohol content channel again. It was showing the default value for the non upgraded OS.

The stock OS channel on the scanner has 1 arrow pointed to the right, the upgraded OS channel has aarows in both directions.
