04 Mustang Mach1 PATS Delete

I have a 00 GT that I swapped with an engine out of an 04 Mach1. I turned the PATS switch to "disable" under the system tab and wrote the file to the vehicle but the PATS is still disabled. What are the steps to doing this? Would like to know if I am missing something or if hearing that HPtuners would work for deleting PATS was incorrect and I just wasted money on license credits for an ECU I can't use unless I take it to the dealer to be relearned or purchase another hardware/software. Any help will be appreciated.

I have had similar problems, some Ford strategies don't accept disabling pats, or it could be tuning software related. In those cases it's easier to fix system. You can
relearn keys with Forscan. It's free, but you have to register 2 month trial version to program.

you should be able to simply set the pats disable switch and off you go
