    E38 T43 OS Compatibility

Trying to find the compatibility of E38 and T43 control modules. Which module would need OS changes or does one or the other need physical replacing because of year mismatch. Vehicle is already wired and fired. It moves but has a go-nogo kind of movement at idle. Figure it's a communication issue from reading the forums. The Engine/trans are matched from a 2018 Silverado or Van. I've wadded through the forums and can't find an exact answer as to whether these two modules are compatible as far as year OS re-flash ability and/or segment swapping. Have included Flash info of the stock file. Any help greatly appreciated.

    E38 is as Follows
    E38, GM Gen4 V8, 2009 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton Denali, 6.2L, 8cyl.
    Serial 86YRUJK19113HPE9
    OS 12630501

TCM is as Follows (From 2018 Silverado, or Van)
    T43, GM A6
    Serial DV6637Q471005418
    OS 24276638

    Thanks.

Those two models have different CAN Protocol and and will not be able to communicate. If you scan it, you'll probably see than there is a communication issue.
If you're going to use the 09 model Denali ECM, then you'd be best suited to get a matching 2009 TCM.

Damn. Figured as much. Thanks for the confirmation. Didn't see any issues with scanning, but it is throwing U0101 code. Okay, so this may be a question for GM; will a compatible TCM (with the E38) be compatible with the physical transmission (valve solenoids etc.)?
