    Configuration & Histogram Repository

Aight guys as many of you have already noticed LS1's are the default when it comes to the config files & histograms for the most part. Here you can post what configs have helped you along. Include in your post with this format:

    Year
    Make
    Model
    OS
    Vin
What the config is for? Idle tuning, SD tuning, MAF tuning, General

If your post is missing anyone of those it will likely be deleted since I need that info to verify its a working configuration.

If you have custom histograms you'd like to post as well feel free. Same info is needed.

    Here's an example
    2001
    Chevy
    Camaro
    12202088
    2G1FP22G412102986
    MAF Tuning/VE Tuning

NOTE: Do not open the .cfg or .hst files with anything but the scanner.

The .cfg (configuration files) go in your:
    C:\Program Files\HP Tuners\VCMSuite2 Directory

The .hst (histogram files) go in your:
    C:\Program Files\HP Tuners\VCMSuite2\Histograms Directory

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Here's what I've been using for LS1/LS6, and LS2 configs regaurdless of year. And one I made for misfires. I've been seeing a lot of cars lately with dead cylinders.
Have a few thousand files I can share. I'm not on here often so please email me. [email protected]

Here's a "Generic Gen III" config I have been using on most all Gen III V8's with the LTFT's turned off.

To use this one you MUST turn off your LTFT's and reset fuel trims with the scanner bi-directional controls.
    Attachment 3788

Also you CAN/SHOULD turn off LTIT (Long Term Idle Air Trims).
    Attachment 3789

    .cfg (Config) files go in:
    C:\Program Files\HP Tuners\VCM Suite 2
Where C:\ is the "usual" location for HP Tuners. Yours may be D:\

    .hst (histgram) files go in:
    C:\Program Files\HP Tuners\VCM Suite 2\Histograms
Where C:\ is the "usual" location for HP Tuners. Yours may be D:\

    Misfire detection

This Misfire config should work on most all Gen III engines.
Index is the value in the table and Level is the current level. If Level exceeds Index for x amount of time it declares a misfire.

I set up filters in the histograms that will keep spurious values out so you can make the misfire table more correct for your application.

Here's an Idle tuning config for most DBW Gen III engines.
    TPS_Air.cfg

TPS_Air_24byte.cfg is for IAC cars or cars that only output 24 bytes of data.

    Custom PID's necessary.
    ---------------------------
AC Pressure KPA Calc custom PID:
    Name: AC_Pressure_Calc
    Abbrv: ACPressC
    Sensor: none selected
    Units: Kpa
    [PID.7101]*93.48625-15.5388

Differential Airflow Dynamic Airflow - Desired Airflow custom PID:
    Name: Diff Airflow
    Abbrv: DifAir
    Sensor: none selected
    Units: %
    [PID.2320] - [PID.2220]

I imported the "calcHP vs RPM vs TPS.hst" and it doesn't display. I've added engine RPM, TPS and the custom PID for HP. Any help?

In the LS2 directory above there's the histograms for Hi/Lo MAF, but good luck SD tuning unless you really want to put the time in with bluecat's software. It works, just is overkill for most. There's a E38_E67.cfg somewhere I found on here that's setup for 07, and it has most of the common tables already setup.
