    Final Drive Ratio- Trans: The final drive ( is whats in the differential) gear ratio.

    Final Drive Ratio- Gear Ratio: ( "IMO" is your overall gear ratio from tq conv to wheels)

    I dont know if that clears it up its still real muddy to me...

    little help from an admin maybe?

    why would those be different? allisons don't have a chain drive like the FWD 4T60E where the sprocket ratio changes the FDR. axle (diff) ratio = FDR. don't get that.

    the 2nd parameter (trans) is in the TCM segment. the ECM segment always reads 3.72 or 3.73. i don't know what meaning is attached to the 4.10 (trans) bc i think most LB7 trucks came with 3.73 and every LB7/ally5 file i have has trans ratio = 4.10.
