    L76 NW102 Idle

Good evening HPTuners community. I am extremely new to tuning and am at my wits end trying to get my engine to start and idle properly. I have been reading, searching, watching videos everything i can possibly think of to get this thing to start and idle right. When its started hot or cold it flares up to nearly 1800rpm then slowly decays to ~850. If you blip the throttle the idle comes up and hangs at 11-1200rpm for ~5-8 seconds. When shifted to reverse the idle dips to 400rpm it corrects overshoots dips again then stalls, not all the time though.

The engine is an L76 Stage 2 TSP, GMPP heads, LT no cats, 3200 Stall Circle D, Fast LSX102, NW102, RotoFab big mouth and card style MAF, ID850, Squash return fuel system.

I've attached the tune and a log i captured the other day. first log after second tune, idle hanging, stalling in reverse still,.hplG8 StartUp Flare Hanging Idle.hpt

    Thanks in advance.

Doesn't look like you changed the ETC Area Scalar for the 102mm throttle body. I think it's around 7800-7900 for that size throttle body.

You also forgot to half the IVT terms for the double stoich AFR method on the big injectors. You'll want to revisit the MAF/VVE tuning to make sure it's not changed a whole lot.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Thanks 5FDP! I'll give it a shot tomorrow and see how that works out.

did it help? im using a etc scaler of 7400 and it works ok but cant get park or neutral right. Some posts are saying to try 7000 as a scaller so its easier to control

Mine is set at 7300.0000 . If you change that to 7500 or 7800 or whatever, you have to go back and re do your maf and ve tables. Then it will run right.
