scatpack whipple starter tune anyone ????

Whipple doesn't include a base file to get me up and running apparently they want another 300. you would think for 7k they would have at least threw me a bone and gave me a file so I can at least copy over some injector data and map but nope. so here i'am car stock except for the stage 2 whipple which will be at I believe 8lbs on the stock engine. hopefully someone has a read from a car that came with the kit to help me out ? car is a 2018 scatpack 392 6.4 but any year would be great

Fellow ScatPack owner here, given the brittle ringlands on the 6.4 I am not sure you want to trust your engine to a freebie tune. I would get the car dyno tuned by an experienced tuner to make sure that our tune is spot on so that you dont end up blowing the ring lands to bits.

You're expecting too much from the Whipple tunes. Take as reference but realize that there are plenty of places for improvement

Something is better than nothing. It'll get him in the ballpark and then he can get it fine tuned.

Yep, you'll never find a tune that's the same. Just have to make sure the tune you reference has the same inj. you have. I'll bet PRO tuners don't even start from scratch, they'll have something close and fine tune from there.

I think the standard 65# injectors is what they ship with all the stage 2-3 kits. And I figured stock engine kits all the tunes would pretty much be the same. As soon you have any exhaust work small bolts ons that would make any bit of difference. They push you towards paying for a custom tune. And yeah like you said. Just trying get the injector data and map sensor / airflow shit from a tune then make small tweaks to timing and fuel as needed.

Load it and try it. With out a forced induction calibration you will flood out and the wrong map calibration will have you tossing codes and barely running.

Load it and see if she will idle and drive, if she will drive make an appointment and drive here there.

I cant help with a tune unfortunately but i do have a whipple stage 2 on my 6.1. I kept my ati 13% underdrive pulley that i already had on it rather than selling it and the car makes right around 6.5psi. I would try to do something similar on your setup whether preferably through the underdrive or if not then a slightly larger blower pulley because 8psi is too risky on the 6.4 engine. Its just barely safe on a 6.1 but i decided to play it even safer anyways but on a 6.4 with 8psi the tune needs to be conservative to avoid possible damage.
