I have 05 GTO model and year License; if I buy new ECM from GM will I need any credits to flash my stock ECM file to it (clone)? I have read several things but from what I understand New ECM needs to be flashed out of box. All licenses are stored in interface right?

yeah its pcm locked so yes you would need to use a minimum of 4 credits for each pcm your trying to tune unless you have the unlimited license for that year GTO

Thats Good to know. I thought it was VIN locked. Was considering an extra set of modules to send away for a different tune. But not gonna buy more credits for the same truck !

yeah otherwise you could just put your vin in every computer & tune 10 of your friends cars/trucks...that aint happnin lol
