    Idle on coastdown

I've got a problem with my idle.
When I'm coasting to a stop, it is fine until I get to about under 3 mph and then when I stop, it starts surging up and down. Once I start to roll it smooths out again.
My idle is higher than it should be at idle in nuetral or park too, I'm shooting for 1050 and it's up around 1350.
I'm runnung SD and still tweaking the ve table so maybe that will smooth it out but it's weird that it seems to be mph related.
    For reference:
    I have an 05 GTO with an LS2 based 402, th400 transmission, 4000 stall, 12.1 comp, 236/250 636. cam
I don't have a small enough log to up load at the moment but here is my tune, and yea, it needs some work but I'm getting there.
I am using the 6-speed o/s so maybe that is some of my problem?

Here is a short idle log.
I lowered my ve table by 5% in the idle area and it actually a bit better but it's starting to burn my eyes from being too lean so I don't want to go anymore in that area.
You can tell when I put it in gear because of the rpm drop.
it didn' used to do that...

A couple things you can check.

    1) Check spark to see if it is bouncing around from jumping between spark tables/cells or over/under correction. Huge jumps in spark will cause rpm to jump up/down.

    2) Do the same with fuel. Make sure you are not jumping between fuel tables that are drastically different in ve.

    3) I haven't tried this yet, but I've read it a couple places. They say you can change the cracker enable/disable to 10mph/9mph respectively and this helps idle transitions. It's on my list of things to try right now. I don't know if I've really read/found anything solid on actually tuning the throttle/cracker stuff.

I'll check the ve table for the idle area.
I don't have a throttle cracker, the LS2's don't have alot of stuff the LS1's have.
I can't even jack with the timing while scanning like you can with an LS1...It would be easy if they wouldn't have jacked with everything.

Check base running airflow. If you have raised the idle RPM significantly, you will need to raise the idle airflow a bit.

I made my ve #'s all the same in the idle area from 800-1200 rpms and it smoothed completely out. Still a bit lean at idle but it purrs like a kitten at 950 rpms. They wernt off much from each other but it sure made a big difference.
I also set my coast down timing to the same values at idle as my high and low octane, didn't match either..
