    LS2 Idle Timing

I have looked through many 5.7L and 6.0L files from the repository and few people seem to adjust idle spark advance to match the main spark advance at or around the idle rpm.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of making this change to a primarily stock engine?

Idle spark advance coastdown timing is also typically quite a bit less than main spark advance. Why would you not want this to also match?

Thanks again for your patience with a newbie

Unless you are having issues, on a fairly stock motor I see no advantage to messing with it.

No advantage whatsoever on a stock motor. Cammed cars need more spark and leaning out, but not much more spark.
