    Active Exhaust settings? E38 2016 Chevy SS Sedan

    Hi,

    I was reading a post on SSforums where a 2017 Chevy SS Sedan owner posted screenshots showing a page under System/General/Active Exhaust. He has several options to enable/disable the bimodal exhaust valves, default state, adjust valves vs RPM threshold, etc.

    Are these settings unique only to the 2017? I have a 2016 with bimodal exhaust, but the settings are not visible in HP Tuners for me.

    Thanks in advance for any support!

    Solved: need to upload the FPCM and the settings appear. Also will require additional credit to write changes to the FPCM.

    I just tuned my sport mode active exhaust in my SS to have a middle ground option for my loud headers. Tuned it to 20% closed at idle, then it closes up more to 30, 40, 50% the higher the RPMs go so I can actually get on it around town without drawing too much attention. Tour mode is still 100% closed and Perf is still fully open (-1).

    Tour = Perf Mode 0
    Sport = Perf Mode 1
    Perf = Perf Mode 2

    Hope this helps some people.

    Didn't know you could vary the physical valve angle. Thought she was opened or closed no matter what you put in the tune. Am I reading you right?
