adding credits
Quote from the credit FAQ:
"Once you receive your new application key, enter it into the VCM Suite software and the additional credits will be activated"
Ok I plugged the EIO into the laptop and started up the editor and pulled up License Info. I tried entering the key, for the extra credits, and got invalid key
I not connected to a car.

Typo? Check that first...
If no joy: contact sales at hptuners dot com with your original email that has the application key they provided.

Will try again but the email is cryptic, as it mixes numbers and letters, which make it difficult to know if its a zero or letter O.

Can you copy (Ctrl-C) & paste (Ctrl-V) the text from the email directly into the App key box or is the email on a different PC?

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I wouldn't do it any other way, in fact this is the way I always do it. I am sure glad HPT allows copy/paste to/from other applications.
Some upgrades actually require an connection to a "new" vehicle in order to get the option to add the license / package as well.
