Why would you want to free rev over 2800?

I have sent my stock bin to support a few days ago with no response to whether they recieved it or not.. can some here clarify that they did actually recieve my email regarding this...

We want this pretty much for a novelty item. Evey other SUV and car and rev freely whether in Park or Neutral, but for some stupid reason GM has decided to put a lock on this :/ Get this done HPT!!

actually it varies from vehicle to vehicle how low & how it is setup...in my gtp i think its set at 3500 from the factory, but theres no point in me revving past that in p/n so i've left it there.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

but when your down at the races, or just showing off your new exhaust system, don't u feel like revving past that once in a while to show the full brute of your motor...

weird thing is, a friend of mine came to pick up my rims, and his TB revs all the way to 5000rpm!? the gear selector on the gauge was completely different to what it was on mine and his was a 2003. I think maybe it was a european spec TB...not too sure, but like u said, it does vary.. just weird not all Trailblazers/Envoys have it..

I've owned v8's mostly so revving my v6 to impress people isnt the first thing on my mind...besides when the thought does cross my mind I think about the people that do it and realize they are morons and hope they throw a rod through the block for hurting my ears.

Well if the 4.2 sounded like that no of course not..
but then again i wouldnt want it to sound like that being a daily driver and all.
And in my neigbourhood there is 1 straight piped harley he gets at least 1 ticket a week. 0 tolerance on LOUD exhaust here.. mine is just moderate
and the law looks at me once in a while.

Before I had HP I checked the service manual and found one of the plugs on the tranny was the park/neutral locator switch. I pulled the plug and presto! The nice thing about it was that it was easy to get at under the hood.
