    Post IAT at -38

I scanned the DTC codes for a 1999 Corvette and the car was getting P0113 and P1111, basically the IAT is disconnected.

So , I checked the tune and there is no IAT correction for timing at -38 F.

Question: is there some other correction that I have missed?

I thought -38 is the default temp for an open circuit.

Redline MS is right, check the connection at the IAT sensor. If ok then unplug and install a jumper wire to the connector. If the IAT temp goes high on the scanner, then the sensor is bad.

Redline MS & Russ K thanks for your replies.

But what would the tune do when running with -38 IAT?

You need to get the IAT sensor working as it is used for fueling as well. I set the IAT spark table to pull 1* timing at 35C, 2* at 40C, then 1* more every colomn. And set the multi to 1.00. This way the timing will retard as the intake temps rise to prevent pinging.

As for your question, -38 IAT will add fuel for sure.
