    need help choosing the correct ECM

    ok guys. 2000 camaro with 2009 corvette custom wiring. all functional, so we will just call it a 2009 corvette. im at the point were im trying to choose a ECM for this beast. my options are E38 or the E40. i will probably be running a T42 transmission control module to control the 4l80e. my question is can/will the the 09 bcm work with the E40? they did use the E40 in 05 only so in theory it should work. i know the E38 WILL work but my engine is a 2004 lq9 with a 24x wheel. thats why im taking a look at the E40...any help would be great!

    E38 will not with 24x crank reluctor. And when you say 09 Vette wiring, if that includes the ECM connectors they will not plug into an E40. E40 was used in the 05 Vette because it was a 24x LS2.

    I haven't wired up anything engine related. So I still have the option of using a E40
