Flex Fuel PCM pin 2016 Camaro SS

Hey guys, I have tried searching and can't find, but does anyone know off the top of their head the correct PCM pin for installing a GM Flex sensor? Thanks in Advance!

Search Camaro6 forum. There is a write up there. The info is also on Google.

Well, actually it may be wrong. I had to leave last night so I had only checked normal operation on the dyno, was going to add some E98 out the drum this morning and CEL came on for Flex sensor circuit low. At this point I realized that only logging "ethanol %" while showing "0" I added the "alchohol %" which shows 40%, I believe this is default? (90hz) Can anyone verify that it is pin 38 on the PCM on this car? Connector would be labeled J1 on the PCM.

That is the Pin I used during my install. I don't recall the connector but I do remember it had a blue insert that needed to be removed to access the pins.

I double checked everything, the only thing I'm fuzzy on is the exact pin location, I only found one diagram of the correct pin rows.

So update, confirmed that pin 38 should be it, I have 4.96v on that wire-sensor unplugged, I have good ground and power on sensor plug -13.86v-. Sensor hooked up, I have 9 to 50hz jumping all around, I checked logs, still showing 40% (default), I have a few more new sensors in kits laying around, swapped another sensor, same thing. There's no way I have 3 bad brand new sensors fresh out the GM package. WTF is going on with this thing!

Did you change the sensor type from "Virtual" to "Sensor" in the tune?

Just wanted to update, yes I had everything correct, tune, PCM pin, all that. While I was checking voltages I noticed that on the sensor "Vout" was pinned with power in the connector for the E85 kit.....I de-pinned, swapped the power and PCM wire at sensor connector and POOF! Worked, car did great, baselined at 590hp, right at what it did last year when I first put whipple on and tuned, running 50% E it did 635hp. Customer happy!

Yes, I did call the E kit company, they confirmed the entire batch of kits they got were pinned wrong, I was the only one that got one so far out of that batch, they corrected and sent me a kit for free for the trouble.

WOW! I am wondering if I have the same situation I have a customer who had a shop install his sensor and the alcohol percentage stayed at 40% after I enable it and would not add the commanded timing in. I am going to ask him what sensor he bought. Can you tell me the one you have?

It wasn't the sensor (GM) it was the kit, the connector for the sensor was pinned wrong. tell him the PCM wire should go to what's labeled "Vout" on the sensor body, ground as the middle wire and batt power on the "Vcc" pin of the sensor.

Also I logged both Ethanol % AND Alcohol % in the scanner, Alcohol always showed 40%, Ethanol always showed "0" until I got sensor pinned correctly, now Ethanol reads correctly, but again Alcohol shows 40%, so make sure to log both until you know which it uses.
